The Place of Forsyth County 4th Annual Homegrown Social & Hunger Awareness Fundraiser ~ October 18 The Reid Barn in Cumming

The Place of Forsyth County was founded in 1975 by four Dominican Nuns. The sisters offered the residents assistance with financial needs, clothing, food and even tutoring children.

Throughout their 40 years, they have been the catalyst for agencies that had their beginnings as programs at "The Place". Today they serve the Forsyth community with financial emergency assistance, lodging, clothing, food and many additional support services.

The Place of Forsyth County serves residents across a broad platform of assistance levels.

On Thursday, October 18, The Place will host their 4th Annual Homegrown Social at the spectacular Reid Barn in Cumming. The Social serves as both a festive event and vital opportunity to raise funds for Forsyth County residents in need of assistance.

There will be incredible food from Tam's Tupelo, a silent auction, cash bar and raffle.

Another highlight of the evening will be live music by gifted acoustic artist, Kristen Tinsley.

This is a casual event so come as you are. This fun fundraiser benefits The Place Food Program, which includes a 'Client Choice' Market, Mobile Pantry, and Garden.

Forsyth is a wonderful place to work and live. It is rich in history and culture - and economically among the most prosperous counties in Georgia. Yet many Forsyth citizens need support.

The Place at Forsyth has provided that support for over 40 years.
